Dwarf Shohin Pomegranate 'Punica granatum; "Nana". This tree is 8 inches tall and 48 years old. It has been cut back multiple times to develop into a shohin. This tree lost all of its branches in a storm and has been growing back its shape for the last 8 years

The ancient city of Granada in Spain was renamed after the Pomegranate during the Moorish period. The Pomegranate is a fruit-bearing, deciduous tree. The leaves are glossy, narrow, and oblong. In the northern hemisphere the Pomegranate typically flowers in the summertime and the flowers are bright red.
