Olive III - 'Olea europaea'

This 30 year old European Olive bonsai, or Olea europaea, is groomed into a tree you would find near a wind swept cliff on the Mediterranean.  Its leaves are narrow, shiny and leather-like, forming white flowers before producing olives. Some species of the plant can live for over 1,000 years, though the European olive bonsai is the only variety that features fruit.
